HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Hend House acknowledges and accepts its statutory responsibilities for securing the health, safety and welfare of all its employees, of contractors working on-site, of visiting members of the public and all others affected by their activities.

Hend House will provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, in particular ensuring, as far as reasonably practicable, that:

  • The premises and equipment are kept in a clean and safe condition.

  • Work equipment and working practices are safe.

  • All employees receive information, training and supervision in how to carry out their work with regard for their own and others' safety.

  • Contractors and visitors are made aware of the procedures and rules in place to safeguard health and safety.

  • Safety factors are given important consideration when any changes are made to the Company operation, or when new equipment is specified and installed.

Hend House ensures that its Health and Safety policies and practices comply with the Health and Safety at Work (etc.) Act 1974, and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, as a minimum.

Hend House will encourage all employees to be actively involved in maintaining the safest possible operating conditions and practices and will treat as a disciplinary matter any failure to comply with safety management requirements.

Hend House will carry out a regular review of this policy to ensure that the highest standards of health and safety are maintained.

The safety of tenants and visitors is of paramount importance and we would urge you and your colleagues to read our full Health & Safety Policy which also includes Hend House's Fire Evacuation Plan.
